ELEANORE M. ACKERSON
Mulliken, MI - Eleanore M. Ackerson, age 90, of Mulliken, died May 7, 2017.

Mrs. Ackerson was born December 8, 1926 in Eagle, a daughter of Russell and 
Emma (Haueter) Moyer.

She was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, a registered nurse and a 
member of the Portland V.F.W. Auxiliary. Eleanore was very active in softball 
and enjoyed knitting, gardening and playing poker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; son, Kevin and 11 brothers 
and sisters.

Surviving are her children, Karen Ackerson, Kim (JoAnn) Ackerson, Kurt (Barb) 
Ackerson and Kris (Tracy) Ackerson; nine grandchildren, Andrea, Arica, 
Angela, Alyssa, Thomas, Tiffani, Joshua,Morgan and McKenzie; two great-
grandchildren, Kori and John; two brothers, John and Bud Moyer; sister, 
Beverly Nowak; several nieces and nephews.

Services wee held Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, 
Mulliken, with Pastor John R. Waite officiating. Interment with military 
honors followed at Meadowbrook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Portland V.F.W. or Hospice of Lansing.
