The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, April 26, 1928
Donald D. Ackerson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ackerson was born at 
Vermontville, July 26, 1926.  Departed this life, April 19, 1928 at the age of 
one year, eight months and twenty-three days.  Besides his parents, he leaves 
to mourn their loss his little twin brother Dale, two other brothers and one 
sister, besides many other relatives and friends.

Dear little Donald has left us,
Jesus, has taken him home,
He’s waiting, up yonder in Heaven,
For loved ones he left here below.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to the south Berlin Aid for the 
beautiful flowers, the minister for his comforting words, and Mrs. Mertie 
Johnson and Mrs. Frances Tietz for the beautiful songs; to all our friends and 
neighbors who gave assistance and help at the death and burial of our darling 
baby.
