Gloria M. Ackerson, age 84, of Clarksville, Michigan, passed peacefully at her
home on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.  Gloria was born on Aug. 27, 1930, in Lebanon,
NH, to Henry G. and Jeannette (White) Day.  

She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1948.  Then on Jan. 14, 1956, Gloria
married Maynard R. Ackerson in Hartford, Vermont, he preceded her in death on
May 28, 1995.  Together they moved back to the Clarksville area in 1956 where
together they farmed and raised their family.  Gloria loved to quilt and sew,
and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Kathy) Ackerson, Susan (Randy) Wrubel
and James (Connie) Ackerson; grandchildren Sean Ackerson, Michael Wrubel,
Gillianne (Timothy) Witt, Benjamin Ackerson, Ellie Ackerson; great-grandchildren
Faith Christine and Colton Timothy; siblings Janice (John) Macleod and Iris
Hodgdon; sister-in-laws Barbara Morrison, Bonnie Main and Diane Pergler; special
nephews Richard and Thomas Tobin, along many nieces and nephews.  Preceding
Gloria in death are her parents, husband Maynard, two brothers and one sister.

A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the
Clarksville Bible Church, 191 S. Main St., Clarksville, MI 48815 at 11 a.m.  The
family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.  Private
interment will take place at Clarksville Cemetery at a later.  Donations in
Gloria name can be given to Hospice Advantage of Lansing.
