Orville Dorr Ackley Jr.
Died Sunday July 4, 2021-age 78 in Grand Rapids.
Born June 5, 1943, son of Orville Sr., & Lucille (Walcutt) Ackley at Detroit.
He married Pauline Louise Fleser on August 18, 1962.
Orville enjoyed a long career as an electronics technician. 
He had a passion for restoring & repairing antique & tube radios,& enjoyed 
remote control airplanes & boats, & fixing small motors & electronics for 
friends.
He built his first home at age 21, later added additions to homes.
He enjoyed painting in spare time.
He enjoyed meeting friends for coffee in Belding with friends 
A longtime member fo St.Joseph Catholic Church, often volunteering at church.
Pauline receded him in marriage January 22, 2018, after 55 years of marriage.
Also preceded in death by his son, Markus Gregory Ackley
Survived by his daughters, Doreen (Thad) Jones, Deborah (Chris) Brewer and 
Daphne Eastman; daughter-in-law, noreen Ackley; grandchildren, Anthony, Casey, 
Bryce, Jessica (Rod), Brenden, Audrey (Dylan), Alexander (Brittney), Caleb, 
Cydney, and Cara; great-grandchildren, Mia, Mavis, Ethan, and one more on the 
way; brothers, David (Debbie) Ackley and Alan (Christine) Ackley; special 
friend, Marge Haney; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday, July 9, 2021 at St 
Joseph Catholic Church, with rev. James Wyse presiding.
Visitation Thursday 4-7 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville.
Memorial contributions may go to Montcalm County Habitat for Humanity.
