GENEVIEVE ALICE ADAIE
Genevieve Alice Adair, aged 83 of Ionia, passed away March 20, 2016 in Grand Rapids;
She was born May 24, 1932 in Palo, Michigan, the daughter of Benjamin and Amber
(Buckley) Taylor. Genevieve married Robert Adair Sr. Nov. 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death
July 9, 2014.

She attended Green Corners Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and knit. Genevieve
was very active in church activities as a Sunday School teacher, Awana leader, 5 day
club, assisted at Summer Bible School and the choir.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Jackie) Adair Jr. of Ionia, Judy (Barry)
Helmes of Ionia and Debbie (Junior) Clifford of Ionia; nine grandchildren; 23
great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Genevieve was preceded in death by 
her parents; husband Robert; daughter Diane; brothers Dee Tylor and William Buckley; and sister
Wanita Harris.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Green
Corners Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Leslie officiating. Interment Highland Park cemetery
at 2 p.m. Visitation will be on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in
