A retired school teacher, Miss Adams was 86 years old and was born March 17, 1875 in Ronald township near Palo. Her parents were Emily and George Adams. She attended Olivet College and Ypsilanti teachers college, and following graduation she taught in many Ionia and Montcalm county schools and at Orleans. Miss Adams was a charter member of the Orleans Literary and Art club, member of the Orleans Methodist church and WSCS, Orleans Extension club and WCTU. She also gave violin lessons and was Orleans correspondent for several newspapers in Ionia County for any years, including the Belding Banner-News. Surviving are a sister, Lenna, Mrs. John Pettit of Fenwick and several cousins. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. from the Stebbins Funeral home in Sheridan with burial in the Palo cemetery. Bearers will be Ernest Leach, Lester Hilbert, Myron Kennedy, Arthur Hoyt, Clark Palmer and Maurice Schrauben.
