The music was by Mrs. Eleanor Bother of Jackson, organist, and Louis Whitesell of Indianapolis, soloist. The latter is a son-in-law of Mrs. Adams's. The remains were cremated and interred in the Crown Hill cemetery in Indianapolis. Attending the services from this vicinity were Mrs. Fred J. Townsend, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Townsend, Mrs. William Erridge, Mrs. Kyle Obery and Mrs. Fred Clark, all of Lyons, and Mrs. Carl Roberts of Ionia. She was born Nov. 7, 1884, on a farm near Maple Rapids, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Henry Helm. After the death of her father she moved to Pewamo with her mother and sisters and attended school in Pewamo and one year in Muir high school, where she graduated in 1899. She taught school for a time and then attended Michigan State Normal at Ypsilanti, graduating from there in 1905. She was married to Henry L. Adams of Greenfield, Ind., in 1906 and they lived in various places including Indianapolis, Ind., and Jackson. She taught in Indianapolis for a time. She was a member of the Emerson Avenue Baptist church there and was active in church and P.T.C. work. She was a member of the American Association of University Women and of the League of Women Voters. In Jackson she was active in church club and W.C.T.U. work.
