June 3,1897 Geo. W. Adamy, for the past 14 years a business man in this city, died at the residence of his mother, in Sebewa on Monday morning at 12:15 o'clock, of heart failure. He had been in poor health for sometime having suffered a stroke of paralysis early in the winter from which he was supposed to be slowly recovering. On Saturday he went to Sebewa to visit his mother, was taken suddenly ill at about 10 o'clock Saturday night and died as above stated. Mr. Adamy was 56 years old, was born in the State of Ohio, but early in life moved to this county. He was highly esteemed by those who knew him, and besides his immediate relatives consisting of two son, Bart and Clark, his mother, three brothers and two sisters he leaves a large circle of friends who sincerely mourn his death. The funeral was held from the Church of Christ at 1:30 Tuesday. Sermon by Rev. B. B. Tyler. Singing by Mrs. Eugene Smith, Mrs. Geo. Tunnison and Miss Avis Simmons. Interment in Highland Park cemetery.
