Y. Feb. 11, 1851. When she was five year of age her family come to Ionia County, Mich., and for the last 30 years or over have been residents of this city. On June 23, 1874, Clara became toe wife of Geo. W. Adamy by whom she has had two sons, Alva Bartlett, and Clark Garfield, both of whom survive her. She also leaves a mother, Mrs. E. M. Bartlett of this city, three sisters, and devoted husband and a large circle of friends, to mourn her loss. She has long been known as a consistent Christian, a faithful wife and mother, a kind neighbor, and a true friend in all the relations of life. For many years her health has been poor and during the last few months her sufferings have been intense. The last two days of her life she had violent convulsions, but during intervals of quiet she recognized her friends, gave away tokens of remembrance and made such arrangements as she chose, manifesting at all times a full acquiescence with divine will and a joyful anticipation of the future into which she often seemed to see with transported vision. Her death occurred Saturday morning Dec. 31, 1892, and the funeral took place at the Church of Christ, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. W.H. Scott officiating. Interment at Highland Park. Out of the woe of a world like this, Out of the sorrow, the pain, the fears, Into the glory of perfect bliss, Over those brightness no shade appears. Out of the parting, the doubt, the grief, Out of the waiting, the hope delayed, Gathers the angel the storm-torn leaf, Into the garden whose flowers ne'er fade. Out of the sinful and into the blest, OUt of earth's hopes to heaven's increase, Out of the toiling and into rest, Out of the striving and into peace. - L.M.B.B. dau of George W. & Esther M.
