Orange Pioneer 92, Died Today

George W. Adgate, Civil War Veteran, Answers Final Summons Early Thursday.

George W. Adgate, 92, Civil war veteran and prominent resident of Orange 
township, died at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Milo Peterson, in Orange 
township, at 6 o’clock this morning (Thursday).  He was a pioneer citizen and 
highly respected.

The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o‘clock from the late 
home.  Enterment in the Balcom cemetery.

He was a member of the Ionia Masonic order, F. & A. M., being a life-long 
member.  He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Wilson, and two 
granddaughters.
