Nik grew up in muir, graduated from Ionia High School and later moved to Saranac. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church and enjoyed helping with church activities.Nik loved spending time with family and going to family events.He enjoyed listening to country music, attending the B92 Bash, and singing karaoke. He was also an avid sports fan and loved watching NASCAR racing as well as being a diehard fan of the U of M.Wolverines, Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. He was a proud advocate for mental health awareness and served on the Recipient Rights Board for The Right Door in Ionia. Surviving is his mother Sally Adgate of Grand Rapids; siblings Patrick (Karen) Adgate of Ionia, Michael Adgate of Smyrna, Tennessee, Rita (Ramaswamy Srinivasan) Adgate of Naperville, Illinois and Mary Jo Adgate of Grand Rapids; nephews, Shyamalan Srinvasan and several cousins.He was preceded in death by his father Neal Adgate, grandparents Marion and Martha Havens and Elmer and Jessie Adgate. A memorial service will be held at Galilee Baptist Church in Saranac, on Saturday, March 18th at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church and a luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to them, which they will distribute to pancreatic cancer research at the University of Michigan and The Right Door in Ionia.
