Lawrence D. Adgate, 62, died Monday, August 1, 1994 in Grand Rapids.  Born 
August 11, 1931, in Lyons, he was the son of Elmer F. and Jessie M. (Megarah) 
Adgate.  He was a combat veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict 
and had retired after 30 years service with B-O-C, main plant, in Lansing.  

Surviving are two brothers, Leland (Joanne) Adgate of Lyons, Wayne (Mary Lou)
Adgate of Grand Ledge; three sisters, Eleanor (Kenneth) Day of Portland, 
Margaret (Harold) Whipple of Grand Blanc, and Phyllis (Michael) Jones of Grand 
Haven.  

Memorial services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Neller Chapel, Portland, with 
the Rev. Elaine M. Buker of Portland Untied Methodist Church officiating.  
Burial will be in Portland Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from noon 
until the time of service.
