Mrs. Adgate was taken to the hospital as a result of a long period of ill health which grew critical a short time ago and which diagnosis proved to be the result of cancer. Mrs. Adgate was born in Hillsdale, February 14, 1865, living there through her girlhood and moving to Saranac when a young woman. She married Cass Henry who died years ago. A son, Burdette Henry, also has been dead a number of years. On September 14, 1919 she was united in marriage to Mr. Adgate who survives her. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Goodell Ionia, Mrs. Ora Bryant, Detroit, Mrs. Emma Halstead, Grand Rapids, and a brother, Andres Haven, Jackson. The funeral services were to be conducted by Rev. O. W. Carr with music by Mrs. Dorothy Dansby and Mrs. Sache Billinger. Burial was to be in Saranac.
