She had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Noreene Russell in Wabash, Ind. and was flown by her son-in-law to the home of another daughter, Mrs. Delight Brown in Lansing, where she was to attend the wedding of her grandson. She suddenly became ill and was taken to Sparrow hospital where she died. Mrs. Adgate as born June 23, 1886 in Berlin township, the daughter of John and Lillian Smith. She was married to the late Earl Adgate in June 1907. Mr. Adgate formerly operated a meat market in Ionia and later Saranac. He died several years ago. Surviving Mrs. Adgate besides her two daughters is a brother, Leon Smith in Indiana. Funeral service will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Morris funeral home with burial at Saranac cemetery.
