He was born August 6, 1905 in Berlin township, the son of Philo and Georgia Hall Adgate, and was married at Saranac in 1926 to Nola Rickert. Mr. Adgate had lived at the present residence 28 years and had been employed at Ionia Manufacturing company nine years. He attended Saranac high school and Ferris Institute at Big Rapids. He is survived by his wife, Nola; three sons, Rodney and Brenton of route four, and Bruce of Buffalo, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Gerald of Saranac. The body of Mr. Adgate will be at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home in Ionia until Thursday noon when it will be taken to the First Christian church where services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. to receive friends.
