The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, June 24, 1941
Word has been received in Ionia of the death of Mrs. Austa Nixon Akins, 45-
year-old former Belding resident, who has lately been making her home in 
Greenville.  Mrs. Akins died Sunday at the Greenville hospital following a 
brief illness.

Surviving are the husband, Lowell Akins, and two step-sons, George and Lowell 
Akins Jr. of Greenville; her mother, Mrs. Mary Nixon of Belding; a sister, 
Mrs. Grace Barry of Belding; and a brother, W. C. Nixon, of Belding

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. from the Brown funeral home 
in Greenville.  Interment will be at Forest Home cemetery at Greenville.
