Albert, Rt. 1, Belding, was held Wednesday morning at St. Mary’s Church of Miriam with Rev. Fr. Charles E. Steves officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by the Huffman Funeral Home. Pall bearers were Theodore Albert, Robert Doran, Royal Breimayer, John Albert, Leonard Feuerstein and Hugo Feuerstein. A farmer, Mr. Albert was born December 24, 1918, the son of Theodore and Margaret Feyan Albert. He was married to Virginia Doran September 27, 1947 in Parnell. He was a graduate of Belding High School, served in the Pacific area during World War II, was on the Election Board of the Ionia County Farm Bureau and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Holy Name Society. Surviving besides his wife are 3 sons, Lawrence of Greenville, Leo and Philip at home; 4 daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Anne) Magers of Greenville, Mrs. Timothy (Peggy) Wood of Belding, Mrs. James (Jane) King of Belding, Elizabeth, at home; one sister, Mrs. James (Catherine) Byrne of Rt. 3; 3 brothers, Joseph of Waupun, Wisconsin, Harold, Rt 1 and Robert, Rt 3; 2 aunts, Mrs. Theodore Gasper of Belding and Sister Mary Martin of Marywood, Grand Rapids, and 3 grandsons. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Dr. Frank Doran, Foundation for Medical Education of St. Mary’s Hospital, Grand Rapids, or Cancer Research Fund of Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.
