In April of this year he suffered a severe sick spell but later on rallied and in October of this year he began to sink and it soon became apparent that the end was in sight for one of the most energetic and ambitious farmers of Otisco township. He spent a week in the Belding hospital but seeing that he was not gaining he begged to be taken back to the old farm which had been his home for the past 74 years and his wish was granted, death coming to relieve the patient sufferer there on Saturday at midnight. His funeral will be held tomorrow, (Thursday) morning at ten o’clock, Rev. Fr. John A. Klick officiating and burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery. He is survived by his son, Theodore, two daughters, Mrs. Henry Rittersdorf and Mrs. John Breimeyer, all of Miriam, two brothers, Charles Albert of Chesaning and Fred Albert, of Wisconsin and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Platter, of Grand Rapids.
