Portland Review, 3 Feb 1992

John A. Alberta, 59, of Lansing died Jan. 26, 1992, in Portland.  He was born in
Portland on Oct. 18, 1932, the son of Adrian and Bessie (Mellstead) Alberta.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine one daughter, Jami Alberta of Portland;
three sons, John Jr. (Julia) of Sommerville, Mass., Timothy of Newport News,
Va., and Ted (Tracy) of Portland; his mother, Bessie Alberta; and one sister,
Clara Ries of Portland. 

Private funeral services were held at Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel in
Portland.  Contributions for the American Cancer Society may be left at the
funeral home.
