The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, September 3, 1963
Funeral service was held at Myers funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock 
for Henry Alberts, 89, who died Sunday at 9 a.m. at Ionia County Memorial 
hospital where he had been a patient three weeks.  Rev. Hubert Callahan was 
officiating minister.  

Mr. Alberts lived for many years on Webber court and for the past year was a 
patient at Brinks convalescent home.  He was born June 6, 1874, in Wisconsin, 
the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Alberts and was employed for a time at the car 
shops in Ionia and worked for many years for C. B. Jack.  His wife, Nellie, 
died about 10 years ago.  One brother, Alvine Alberts of Flint, survives.

A member of Moose lodge 998 for 50 years, Mr. Alberts served as its treasurer 
about 24 years.

Bearers, all members of the Moose lodge, were Gerald Robinson, Clifford 
Hampleman, Lee Holland and Nels Christensen.  Burial was at Highland Park 
cemetery.
