Edwin Z. Albright Sr., 83, of Lyons died at the Ionia County Memorial hospital 
Monday, July 9, at 6:15 a.m.  He was born at New Hampton, Iowa, January 28, 
1868, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Z. and Katherine Albright.  He 
lived most of his life near Lyons.  He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of 
America.

Surviving are a wife, Hattie, of Lyons; three daughters; Opal Carpenter of 
Grand Rapids; Izola VanBergen of Muskegon and Nellie Weaver of Grand Haven; 
two sons, Lawrence of Lyons and Edwin Jr., of Muir; eight grandchildren; and 
14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 11 at 2 p.m. at the Shaw-Rivett 
funeral home with the Rev. Earl F. Buffum officiating.  Interment will be in 
Oakwood cemetery, Muir.
