William E. “Wild Bill” Albright, age 94, of Belding, passed away Wed. morning,
March 30, 2005, at Spectrum Health Kelsey Memorial Health Center in Lakeview.

Bill was born on May 4, 1910 in Grand Rapids, the son of Charles and Diantha
Elizabeth VanLiew Albright.  He was a veteran of World War II, receiving the
Purple Heart during combat in the Pacific Theatre.  Bill retired from the
Saranac Sprayer Co. in 1972.  He was a member of the Sheridan VFW and of the
Disabled American Veterans.

Wild Bill was well known in Belding and loved his daily walks around the city. 
He was married on December 16, 1943 to Neva Mae Phillips-Crissman and she
preceded him in 1993.  Bill was also preceded in death by his brothers and
sisters, and his children; Walter Phillips, Charles “Roy” Crissman and a
daughter-in-law; Donna Albright.

Bill is survived by his children and their spouses, Bernice Dorrance, Beatrice
and Lyle Dodds, Fran and Dave Powell, Ardena Nelson, Elizabeth Sparks, Irving
and Laverne Crissman, Robert and Deloris Crissman, Ken and Shirley Albright and
Terry and Linda Albright; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home,
Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating. 
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.  The family will
receive relatives and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday
at the funeral home.  Memorial gifts may be given to the Belding VFW Post #4406
or the Alvah N. Belding Library.
