Benito Alcala, age 50, of Ionia, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005, in Ionia.
He was born January 9, 1955 in Imlay City, Michigan the son of Augustine and
Rose (Estella) Alcala.  Active with and troop leader for the Boy Scouts.  Member
of Jehovah’s Witness.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda Alcala of Ionia; children Lisa and Greg
Brooks of North Dakota, William Smith of Ionia, Benito and Barb Alcala Jr. of
Clarksville, Jeremiah Alcala of Ionia; brothers Thomas and Emily Alcala of
Ionia, Augustine Alcala of Ionia and Alberto and Pam Alcala of Kansas; sisters,
Alice and Jim Cryptone of Hastings, Hester and Jake Brown of Ionia, and Delhia
Alcala of Ionia; also survived by ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.  Cremation has taken place
and service will be held Friday 1 p.m. at Canterbury Estate Clubhouse 360 Tuttle
Road in Ionia, where there will be a visitation 10 a.m. until the time of
services.  Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
