The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, August 12, 1926
Cyrus J. Alden, who had been ill some time with an incurable disease, passed 
away Sunday morning at his home in this village.  For a long time Mr. Alden 
was the prominent leader of the Holiness Mission of Lake Odessa and was very 
enthusiastic in his work.  He was a consecrated man and worked for the cause 
as long as his health would permit.  He will be missed by the society and his 
place be hard to fill.  He is missed also by the Wave-Times where he often 
came with his messages for publication.  The funeral was held at the home 
Tuesday, and burial was at Lake Side Cemetery.
