Wave, Thurs. Dec. 3, 1970 Services Held for Clare D. Alderink Clare D. Alderink, 62, of Route 3, Lowell, died Sunday afternoon while hunting near his home. Coroner Dale Kauffman said death was due to a heart attack. He was born March 2, 1908, in Campbell Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Alderink. He was a member of South Boston Grange and Clarksville Masonic Lodge. He was a Boston Township board member and also chairman of the board of ASCS in Ionia County. Feb. 28, 1939, he was married in South Boston to Helen Kyser and had lived at his present residence since 1947. Prior to that he had lived in Bowne Township where he had served as township clerk. Surviving are his wife, Helen' two sons, John of Livonia and Ronald of Saranac; three daughters, Mrs. Miriam Horn of Vermontville, Kay and Marcia at home; nine grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Alderink of Forest Hills, near Grand Rapids; two brothers, Harold of Elmdale and Morton of Forest Hills; two sisters, Ms. Anna Meyers and Mrs. Irene Morris of Lake Odessa. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 at Morris-Roetman Funeral Home in Saranac, with Pastor Peter Quist of Grand Rapids officiating. Interment was in South Boston Cemetery.
