Lake Odessa Wave, 2 Feb 1923

Franklin Dexter Aldrich was born in Grattan township, Kent county, Michigan, 
February 14, 1850.  He was united in marriage to Mary E. Engerson May 14, 1873, 
and they moved to Odessa township on the farm where she died in 1874.

He passed away on the morning of January 20th, 1923 at his farm home.  

He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge No. 429 and also a member of the 
Congregational church.

Those from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. S. D. Foster and wife, Mr. 
Fred Aldrich and wife, Miss Grace A. Aldrich, all of Grand Rapids, Mr. Warren 
Aldrich of Bowne Center, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Engerson of Mancelona, Mr. J. B. 
McBane and wife of Rockford, Will Garlinger of Cadillac and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. 
Bradish of Hastings.

Card of Thanks:  We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our neighbors, 
relatives and friends who so kindly assisted us in our late bereavement; To the 
Minister for his consoling words, to the choir for their music and to those who 
sent the beautiful flowers, to the I.O.O.F. for their kindness and many
