He suffered a stroke about six weeks ago. Born in November of 1861 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Schuyler Aldrich, he was married to Elizabeth E. Salisbury on June 16, 1880, at Hubbardston. Mr. and Mrs. Aldrich have made their home for the past 11 years in Ionia and before that time they lived at Lansing and Grand Rapids. During his life, Mr. Aldrich worked as a farmer, a carpenter and during the past few years as a popcorn seller. The couple observed their sixtieth wedding anniversary last June with a family gathering at their home. Surviving are the wife, Elizabeth; one son, Harry W. Aldrich of Grand Rapids; and four daughters, Mrs. Joseph White and Mrs. Ernie Heller of Lansing; Mrs. John Truesdell of Ionia and Mrs. Bessie Shaw of Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Harrie Bradley, of Durand, died several years ago. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 5, at 2 p.m. from the Stebbins funeral home on West Main street. Rev. Kenneth Romig of the Ionia Orthodox Baptist Church will officiate and interment will be held at the Hubbardston cemetery.
