Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 5 Jun 1978

Mrs. Flossie Aldrich, 89, of 740 Cross street, Portland, died Saturday at Ionia
Manor.  She was born October 20, 1888 in Shiawassee county, the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. William Galloway.  Mrs. Aldrich was a member of Portland United
Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Allen Aldrich of Gladstone; two daughters, Mrs.
Vergilene Guilford of Gladstone and Mrs. Doris Gilbert of Portland; two sisters,
Mrs. Berniece Altman of California and Mrs. Tressa Christianson of Durand; seven
grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Neller Funeral Home with Rev. Harold
Homer of Portland United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial is in Portland
cemetery.  Bearers are Robert, Howard and Dennis Hirschman, Richard Parkhouse,
Richard Parkhouse, Jr. and Michael Lorichon.
