Rev. Willis B. Hunting officiated at the services. Mr. Aldrich died Sunday morning shortly before noon as the result of a backward fall to the floor of the basement after he had started to come up the stairs. He is said to have been killed instantly by the fall. He was a former officer in Berlin Township and has been active in church functions and has served as Superintendent of the Sunday School for number of years. He was born June 27, 1872 and was married to Grace Aldrich on February 6, 1895. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1945 at the community church there. Surviving besides the wife and three daughters, Mrs. Paul? Redman of Mason, Mrs. William? Larson of Ionia and Mrs. Elmer? Larson of Ionia; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral arrangements were made by Boynton’s Funeral Home of Ionia.
