Lake Odessa Wave
   CLAYTON ALDRICH PASSES AWAY
  Clayton A. Aldrich, 73, retired farmer, passed away at the Kent Community
Hospital, Grand Rapids, Monday afternoon following a  long illness.  He had been 
at the Community Hospital or nine weeks.
  He was born in Ionia County, son of Stephen and Millie (Steward) Aldrich an had
attended school in Vermontville.  He married Ann E. Downing of Sunfield Nov.2, 1920, 
and they moved from Sunfield to Lake Odessa in 1940 and operated a produce market 
in connection with their farm.  Mrs. Aldrich passed away Dec 7, 1970.
  Surviving are a son, Clarence of Ionia; s daughter, Mrs. Ray (Betty) Powell of
Lake Odessa; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Dewey 
of Hickory Corners, and a brother, Andrew of Parchment.
  Mr. Aldrich reposes at the Pickens Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, where funeral
services will be held Thursday (today) at 1"30. Rev. Arthur Heisler will officiate, with burial in
Lakeside Cemetery.
