The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, March 30, 1939
Mrs. Mary Ellen Aldrich died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. H. Wolford, 
Sunday evening after several weeks’ illness.  Mrs. Aldrich was 90 years of age 
and had lived with her children most of the time since the death of her 
husband Frank Aldrich in January 1923.  She was a delightful person to know, a 
loving mother and a loyal friend.

She leaves two daughters, Mr. S. H. Wolford of Darby district and Mrs. Ralph 
Dodds of Saranac, and son Leon Aldrich, living on the home farm west of Lake 
Odessa.  The funeral was held at the home of her son Wednesday afternoon with 
the Rev. E. H. Humphrey officiating and burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
