Arden “Lindy” Lindberg Alexander, 78, of Sidney, passed away Saturday, May 20,
2006, in Belding.  Arden was born Dec. 5, 1927, in Cannonsburg, to James and
Ethel Marlette Alexander.  On Dec. 31, 1947, he married Marion L. Johnson in
Greenville.  Arden worked for the Sheridan Elevator and Lumber Yard for 35
years.  He was then a farmer and a builder.  He attended Carson City Schools and
was an avid hunter and fisherman.  His favorite activity was spending time with
his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Arden is survived by his wife, Marion; children, Marcia Alexander, Steve
Alexander, both of Sidney, Vicki and Jim Baxter of Stanton; grandchildren, Stacy
and Randy Veltkamp of Sidney, Alison and Chris Stauffer of Orleans, James and
Jennifer Baxter of Sheridan, Shannon and Michael Behrend of Edmore, Steven
Alexander of Grand Rapids, Ashley and Tony Pant of Blanchard; 10 – almost 11 –
great-grandchildren; brother, Rollin and Ann Alexander of Sidney; and several
nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barden Funeral Home, Stanton, with
Pastor Ken Harger, of Shiloh Community Church, officiating.  Burial is in Sidney
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday
at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions envelopes will be available at the
funeral home.
