            Leaffa Ann Allchin Nonagenarian, Buried Saturday

Leaffa Ann Allchin, 97, passed away at the Eckert Convalescent Home in Ionia on 
Wednesday following a lingering illness. She was born in Hancock County, Ohio, 
June 21, 1861, and was married to Ambrose Allchin at Crystal in 1884. He died in 
1943. They lived int eh Ashley neighborhood on Bricker Rd, for 50 years and 
after her husband's death she came to this city to live.

Surviving are one son, Clyde of R 3, and two daughters, Mrs.Maude Wood. of R3, 
and Mrs.Hugh bigley of Kenwood Ave.; three grandchildren, four great-
grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs.Nellie 
Reinsmith, of Davenport, Iowa, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service were held on Saturday at 2:30 at the Ellis Funeral Home with 
entombment in River Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Taylor, Irving 
Hawley, Bill Emmons, Ransom Braman, Alvin Davis and Milton Barnes.
