Laura F. Allen, 98, of Lake Odessa, went to be with her Heavenly Father early 
Tuesday morning, Sept. 3, 2002.  Laura was born in Odessa Township March 8, 
1904, to Roy and Jennie (Hinderleider) Lane.  She was very involved with her 
family and loved music.  Laura was thrilled with the trips she had taken to the 
Grand Old Opry.  She also loved dearly her daily crossword puzzles and 
crocheting.  Her children are proud of the love she gave them every day of 
their lives.

Laura is survived by her children; Bernice Hamp, Roger and Alona Allen, Paul 
and Alberta Allen; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; her brother 
Edward Lane, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William A. Allen; her 
daughter Barbara Allen; her grandson, Bill Allen; her great-grandchildren, 
Michael Hamp, Karen Allen, Tom Allen and Jeffrey Allen; her sisters, Gladys 
Bariebau and Edna George; and her son-in-law Roger Hamp.

Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake 
Odessa.  Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Koops Funeral Chapel.  Burial 
will be in Lakeside Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the 
Lakewood Community Ambulance.
