Ionia County News, 20 Oct 1955

Mrs. Elva Allen, 85, died Monday about 8:30 a.m. at the home of her brother, 
Wilmot Loveless in Lyons, after a long illness.  Mrs. Allen was born near 
Wellington, Canada, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Absalom Loveless.  Her husband 
Lewis Allen died some years ago.

Mrs. Allen had lived in Lyons and Pewamo several years.  She was a member of 
the Pewamo Methodist Church, and Pewamo Chapter, OES.  Survivors other than her 
brother are two nieces, Mrs. Matt Miller of Pewamo and Mrs. Elva Kemp of Muir.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the Lyons Methodist 
Church, Rev. Robert Watt officiating.  Burial will be in Lyons cemetery.
