Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 May 1967

Mrs. Amy A. Allen, 80, lifelong resident of Hubbardston, died on Saturday at 
Carson City hospital.  Born in Hubbardston, April 21, 1887, she was the 
daughter of Lloyd M. Nichols and Ida Newcom Nichols.  She was married to Hugh 
Allen in Lebanon township and he preceded her in death.  She was a member of 
Hubbardston Methodist church.  

Surviving her are five sons, Harvey of Hubbardston, Henry of Elsie, Russell of 
Matherton, Roland and Robert of Detroit; one daughter, Mrs. Max Reynolds of 
Muir, 25 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hubbardston Methodist church with 
Rev. Austin Reigier officiating and burial in Westside cemetery in 
Hubbardston.  Family requests memorials to Hubbardston Methodist church instead 
of flowers.  The body is at Burns-Schnepp funeral home in Carson City.
