Ionia Sentinel Standard, Oct 1994

Daisy Jen Allen, 70, of Battle Creek, formerly of Ionia, died Tuesday, October
4, 1994, at the Battle Creek Health System, Community Site.  She was born March
1, 1924, in Ionia, the daughter of Lloyd W. and Bertha D. (Norwood) Palmatter. 
In October of 1945 she married Charles H. Allen in Ionia.  She was a homemaker
and enjoyed her grandchildren along with fishing and the outdoors.

She is survived by six sons, James Allen, Otto Allen, Billy Allen, Elmer Allen,
Donnie Allen, and Bruce Allen; two daughters, Betty Allen, and Bonnie Frazier;
several grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Gerry Gibbs,
Florence Griffen, and Joyce Allen; and one brother, Charlie Palmatter.  She was
preceded in death by her husband in 1969 and one brother, James Palmatter.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, at the Cook Funeral Home in
Ionia.  Memorial donations may be made to the wishes of the family.
