Ionia Sentinel Standard, 17 Dec 1977

Ionia – Funeral services for Ethel R. Allen, 72, who died Sunday evening were 
Thursday afternoon from the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Carl Hausermann of 
First United Methodist church officiating.

Organist was Mrs. Josephine Barna.  Burial was in Highland Park cemetery.  
Bearers were grandsons, Elwyn Powless, Carl, David and John Skinner, John 
DeGroot, Isaac Brown and Phillip Meaney.

Attending the services in a group were members of the Veterans of WWI Barracks 
and the VFW Auxiliary and residents of Pine Vista.

Following graveside services, luncheon was prepared and served in the Pine 
Vista community room.
