The Ionia County News, Thursday, September 13, 1934

The remains of Erwin J. Allen, brother of the late Winfield Allen, were laid 
to rest in South Boston cemetery last Saturday.  Funeral service was held in 
Densmore chapel at Saranac, his former home.  The body was brought from Willow 
City, N.D. to Saranac by his only sister, Mrs. Lydia Allen Barbour, of Long 
Beach, Calif.
