Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 3 Jun 1942

Lula E. Allen, 46, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at her home on Price street.
 She had been ill for more than a year but her death was unexpected.

She was born September 14, 1896, and Isabella county.  She had spent the past 13
years in Ionia.  She is survived by the husband, Herman; a son, Ray Allen, of
Ionia; her father Frank Heckard, of Isabella county; two brothers, Simon Heckard
and James Heckard; a sister Mrs. Iva Chubb, all of Isabella County; also two
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, from the Myers funeral home at 2
p.m.  Rev. A.J. Westmaas will officiate and burial will be in Highland Park
Cemetery.
