Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Huffman Funeral Home for Leon
Leroy Allen, 69, of 414 East State Street.  Rev. Ross Tracy officiated. 
Interment was at Findlay Cemetery, Ada township, Kent county.  

Mr. Allen died Thursday, March 20 at Belding Christian Nursing Home.  He was
born December 11, 1899 at Tustin, the son of Samuel and Emma Francis (Miller)
Allen.  A factory worker for Kelvinator, Mr. Allen was married to the former
Bernice S. Helrigel at Grand Rapids on December 15, 1940.  She survives.

Survivors are two step-sons Robert and Raymond Helrigel, both of Hastings, three
sisters, Mrs. Minnie Corl of Stanton, Mrs. Willie Robinson of Orleans and Mrs.
Ida Benham of Grand Rapids, nine nephews and eight nieces.
