Woodland Resident Passes Away

Gordon P. Allen, 66, of Carlton Center Rd., Woodland, passed away at Pennock 
hospital Friday. He had resided at Woodland for two years moving there from 
Lansing where he had lived for 34 years.

He was an employee of the Reo Motor Car Co. for 25 years and retired two years 
ago. He was an ex-constable and former Justice of the Peace in Lansing township.

Surviving are his wife Lula; three sons, Gardner and Wayne of Lansing and 
Richard of Woodland; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Babcock and Mrs. Betty Love of 
Lansing; a brother Stanley of Lyons; three sisters, Miss Ruth Allen and Mrs. 
Nell Holliday of Lyons, and Mrs. Katherine Beebe of Grand Rapids; his mother, 
Mrs. Bess Allen of Lyons and 19 grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Casimir Church at 
Lansing with burial in the St. Josephs cemetery, Lansing. Rev. Fr. Sylvester 
Fedewa officiated. Estes-Leadley Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
