MARION I. ALLEN

SARANAC - Marion I. Allen, 83, of 3496 West Bluewater Highwater, Saranac, died 
at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.

she was born inIonia County Feb. __, 1904, the daughter of Milton and Christine 
Eldridge Klingensmith and attended Dexter rural school. She worked at Sparrow 
Hospital, Lansing, for many years.

She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church.

She as been married to Theodore Allen for 26 years.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son,Don Grummet of Saranac; five 
daughters, Leora Erb, Lois Solomon and Alice Courter of Saranac, and Thelma 
Rowley and Donna Battle, both of Ionia; three stepsons, Claude Allen of Lake   
George, Ted Allen Jr. of Clinton and Jay Allen of Lansing; a stepdaughter, 
Murriel Johnson of Lansing; 28 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren; and one 
brother, Ernest Klingensmith of California.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Galilee Baptist Church, the 
Rev.James Frank officiating.

The family will be at the Lake Funeral Home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
