RUSSELL P. ALLEN

CARSON CITY-Russell P.Allen, 72, of rural Muir, died Friday in Carson City 
Hospital.

A retired farmer who was also retired from General Tire in Ionia, he was born 
Feb. 9, 1912, inClinton County, the son of Hugh and Amy Allen. He was a long 
time resident of the Matherton-Muir area.

He was married to Mary Ratu 50 years on June 29, 1934, and died on his Golden 
Wedding Anniversary.


Surviving are  his wife; three daughters,Lila Irrer of Garrett,Ind. and Rosemary 
and Ruth Ann Randolph, both at home, two grandsons; a sister, Irene Reynolds of 
Muir; three brothers, Henry of Pompeii, Harvey of Hubbardston, and Robert of 
Royal Oak. One brother, Rollin, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. from the Schnepp Funeral Home in 
Carson City. Burial will be in West Side Cemetery, Hubbardston.
