                               Ernest Lee Allen

Ernest Lee Allen, 77. of Belding died along with his daughter in an auto 
accident Monday June 2, 2008 in Grand Rapids.

Ernest was born on Sept.16, 1930 in Portland the son of Lyle and Christine 
Crandall Allen. He worked n the maintenance department for General Tire in 
Ionia. Ernest loved to hunt, fish, and garden and to work with his John Deere 
tractor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ernest was married 
on July 29, 1955 in Mulliken to Etta May Waldron and she survives along with 
their children, William Allen of Lakeview, Linda Howorth of Grand Rapids, Connie 
(Alan) Martin of Belding, Shirley (Al) Heaton of Belding, Jon Allen of Six Lakes 
and Karen (David) Bowen of Lowell. He is also survived by his grandchildren 
Bill(Candice) Allen, Dustin (Heather)Allen, Dawn(Nathan)Hopkins, Brittany 
Howorth, Brandon Howorth, Shane (Shanda) Martin,Shaun (Dani) Martin, Bret 
Martin, Stady Heaton, Chris Heaton, Amber (Ed)Fox, Michael Bowen, Kristin Bowen 
and Heather Bowen; his great-grandchildren, Derek Allen, Brayden Allen, Hallie 
Hopkins, Kimmy Martin, Hunter Martin,Connor Martin, Taylor Martin Paige Martin, 
CJ Martin, Marissa Fox and 3 more on the way.

He is survived by his brother, Charles Richard Allen of Lakeview.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parent and one daughter, Joyce Ann Allen.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Green Corners Baptist Church, 
Belding with pastors Ken Harger and John Madvig officiating. Interment will be 
in River Ridge Cemetery.Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 .m. at 
Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be given to American 
Diabetes Foundation. Condolences may be give into the family at the Web site fo
