Phyllis M. Allen of Gainsville, Fla., formerly of Pewamo, died August 8, 2004 
at the age of 89. She was born in Pewamo on March 8, 1915, the daughter of Ora 
James and Edith (Stanley) Blackmer. Phyllis married Harry F. Allen in Angola, 
Ind. on January 20, 1933 and he preceded her in death.  She was a member of 
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo, State Employees Retirement Association and 
the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving is her son, Larry (Sandra) Allen of Gainesville, Fla., 8 
grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and 
sister, B. Hyacinth Kramer of Pewamo. In addition to her husband, she was 
preceded in death by one grandson, Ronald Allen, two brothers, William and 
Stanley Blackmer and sister, Katherine Cook.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church, Pewamo with Rev. Fr. Charlon Mason officiating. The family will 
receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by 
Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Home, Fowler.
