The Hastings Reminder, Tuesday, September 29, 1987
Thomas Lane Allen, 19, of Ainsworth Road, Ionia died early Tuesday, September 
22, 1987 of injuries sustained in an auto accident.  Mr. Allen was born June 
17, 1968 in Ionia, the son of James and Linda (Smelker) Allen.  He attended 
Lakewood High Schools.  He was farming with his father at the time of his 
death.

Surviving are his parents, James and Linda Allen; two sisters; Rebecca Allen 
of Saranac, and Cindy Allen at home; two brothers, Phillip and Mark Allen both 
of home; grandparents, Roger and Alona Allen of Lake Odessa and Keith and Neve 
Smelker of Hastings; grand-grandmother, Laura Allen of Lake Odessa and Marge 
Price of Middleville; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services were held 1 p.m. Friday at Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa with 
Rev. Harold Price officiating.  Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery.  Memorial 
contributions may be made to the Thomas Lane Allen Memorial Fund.
