Mary Allen age 89, of Muir, passed away on June 7, 2005 at her residence. She 
was born on March 25, 1916 to Nicholas and Anna (Vasiu) Ratu in Canton, Ohio. 
Mary married Russell Allen on June 29, 1934, in Angola, Indiana. She was a 
member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston.

Mary is survived by one brother; Victor (Mary Anne) Ratu of Muir; one 
grandson, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a close 
friend and former foster child, Rosie Randolph of Muir.  She is preceded in 
death by her parents, her husband Russell in 1984, daughter Lila Irrer and a 
grandson, Brian Fox.

Funeral services for Mary will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. in 
the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston with Fr. Tom Hack 
officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of 
service. Burial will be in the Westside Cemetery in Hubbardston. In lieu of 
flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Carson City 
Hospice.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Lux & Schnepp Funeral 
Home in Carson City.
