Funeral service for Orrie B. Allen, 57, of 924 South Pleasant Street, Belding,
was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Huffman funeral home in Belding.  Mr. Allen died
Tuesday afternoon in his car following a heart attack as he returned home from
work.  He was employed at Gibson Refrigerator company.  

He was born May 8, 1902 in Fremont township, Isabella county, the son of
Benjamin and Elma Allen and had been a resident of Belding since 1921.  February
27, 1924 he was married to Bessie Elmendorf who survives him.  other survivors
include a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Austin of Belding; one son, Donald Allen of
Belding; three sisters, Mrs. Harley Riggle and Mrs. Elton Hunt of Lansing, and
Mrs. Ted Brisboy of Blanchard; three brothers, Marvin Allen of Farwell, Arnold
of Lansing and Walter of Belding, and three grandchildren.

Bearers were Claude McLellen, Esper Steffes, Perry Outman, Milton Dalrymple,
Lawrence Beaudoin and Martin Engemann.  Officiating was the Rev. Gerald Bowen of
Bostwick lake and interment was at River Ridge cemetery.
