IONIA- Leo V. Allen Sr., 78, 626 N. Jackson St. Ionia, died Monday in the Lowell 
Medical Facility.

He was born June 10, 1905 in Palo, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Allen.

He married Alberta Forbes, March 18, 1944, and they lived their entire married life

in the Ionia and Whitemore Lake areas.

He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and was a member of the

Ionia Moose Lodge and the Saranac American Legion.

He attended the Nazarene Church, and was a self-employed watchmaker.

Surviving are his wife, Alberta, two sons, Leo Jr., of Ionia and Edward of Whitemore

Lake; two daughters, Patricia Hulander of Ionia  and Sharon St. Charles of Whitemore

Lake; one sister-in-law, Crystal Dockstader of Howell, 11 grandchildren; seven
step-
grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren. 

Funersl services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Roetman funeral Home in 
Ionia, with the Rev. Kirk Starkweather officiating. 

Burial will be in the Tuttle Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established. The family will receive friends and relatives

at the funeral home today and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
